We planted some strawberry runners donated to us by Joe. Had to wait two weeks before we dug up the potatoes. Disappointing harvest but we were still excited.
Sat 7th – When we arrived at the plot the gazebo had been blown over. Trevor said a mini tornado swept accross the site and caused quite a bit of damage.
Sat 14th – Bought some half price rigid netting from wilkos and built a fruit cage, brilliant by our standards.
Sun 22nd – Took down the cage from round the sprouts, firmed them in, removed lower leaves, staked them and gave them a feed of growmore.
Tues 31st = Planted 2 redcurrant bushes, 1 blackberry cane, 1 raspberry cane all bought from lidl for 99p each.
