I’m having another go at Melons this year. I have sown quite a few seeds of Minnesota Midget and Sugar Baby as last year not many germinated and those that did failed to produce a good plant.

There are three essential rules for growing melons: make sure the flowers are pollinated, add lime to the planting hole, and never let the soil become dry. A tip from a website called gardenwise. However I should add that this is an American site so I should plan to grow undercover and keep warm. Apparently Melons need plenty of sun and plenty of water. Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained.
